My morning ritual:
Wake up, water my garden, make some sage tea with leafs from my garden, meditate and then continue with whatever else the day demands of me.
Why this sequence of events you ask?
1. I wake up because if I don't then all the other events will be impossible.
2. I water my plants especially the sage shrub because I believe it is best to give before you take.
3. I make some sage tea (see recipe below) because it helps ground me. When I drink this tea, I feel my head get lighter in a good way; it's like taking off a hat, I feel my shoulders drop, and I feel all my muscles relax. It brings me very present to my body so that I can fall into my meditation with ease
4. I meditate because it makes me present and I like to experience my life in the present moment.
Sage tea recipe:
Crush 8 sage leafs
Bring a cup of water to boil
In your favorite mug, combine the crushed sage, a teaspoon of honey and a cup of hot water.
Allow the mixture to sit until the leafs settle to the bottom of the mug.
ENJOY!
